Theresa R. Steady, 75, of Rutland

RUTLAND — Theresa R. Steady, 75, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at her home in Rutland, with her four daughters and best friend by her side.
She was born on Aug. 13, 1947, in Richford, Vt., the daughter of Joseph and Ruth (Rushford) Juaire.
Theresa was a caregiver her entire life, having a community care home for the elderly, caring and being guardian for her sister Polly, who she loved dearly. Theresa was also a foster parent and surrogate mother to many.
Her hobbies were football, keeping track of her grandkids and letting people know what she thought whether they liked it or not.
Four daughters survive Theresa: Stacey Steady (John Sherwin), Robin Frazier (Jeffery), Paulette Holbritter (Jim) and Sue Ellen Lancour (Jamie); and her best friend Cathy Cunningham. Theresa is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittanny (Cam and Kiley), Colby (Ayden and Madison), Hannah, Emily (Cayde and Hazel), Jessica, Brendan, Bryce, Randi and Caleb.
She was predeceased by her parents, father of her children Randy Steady, and beloved sister Polly.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Vergennes
