Tiger girls’ hockey splits its last two outings
MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team split a pair of one-goal games in the last week and carries a 5-4 record into this week’s games.
The Tigers are scheduled to host Burr & Burton on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and are set to visit U-32 on Saturday.
On this past Wednesday, Jan. 19, the Tigers outlasted host Missisquoi, 7-6. Ireland Hanley’s goal at 6:36 of the third period, assisted by Hana Doria and Ellie Wilkinson-Sachs, snapped a 6-6 tie. Avery Gale scored three times; Doria, Patience Hanley and McKenna Raymond added a goal apiece; and Wilkinson-Sachs and Lia Calzini each assisted two goals.
Ruby Hubbell made 22 saves for MUHS.
Karissa LeClair and Holley MacFallan each scored twice for the T-Birds, and goalie McKenna Thompson made 20 saves.
On Saturday visiting Brattleboro edged the Tigers, 4-3. Juliana Miskovich paced the Colonels with two goals and an assist, and goalie Angela Jobin made 22 saves.
Patience Henley, McKenna Raymond and Lily Finn scored for the Tigers, and Kenyon Connors assisted two goals. Hubbell made 18 saves for MUHS.
