CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. —James “Jim” Hoverman, formerly of Middlebury, died Aug. 16, 2021. He was born June 21, 1947, in Indianaplois, Ind., to Russell and Mary Jean (Mahan) Hoverman.

Jim graduated from Middlebury College in 1969 and lived in Middlebury from 2002-2015. He married Ginny (Hopper) Hoverman in September of 1998 in Whitefield, N.H.

Jim is survived by his wife, Ginny; two sons and their families; a stepdaughter and her family; a stepson and his family; and two brothers and their families. He was predeceased by his parents.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Contributions in Jim’s memory can be made to the Trail Around Middlebury and the Middlebury College Class of 1969.◊
