Lincoln news for Aug. 26

LINCOLN — Another school year is upon us. Welcome back to all the returning students and welcome to all the new students and teachers/staff. Back to school is a gentle reminder to all of us to pay a little extra attention to students walking and riding their bikes to and from school. Please also be mindful when encountering a school bus. If the lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended, please stop. Wishing all the students and teachers/staff a safe, healthy and fun school year!

The Lincoln Library is hosting Vermont’s newest Give and Take Mini Art Gallery sponsored by the Five Town Friends of the Arts, and features artwork by adults and children, as well as found treasures. If you see something you want, you can take it. If you would like to add some art, please do. If there is no room for your art, you can leave it at the front desk and the curator will add it to the collection. There are some canvases as the front desk if you would like to use one, though it is not necessary. Art in any form is welcome. Come visit often, as the gallery will always be changing. Let’s have some fun!

SAVE THE DATE

There will be no school for MAUSD students on Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of Labor Day.

Until next time … Today Is A Great Day To Smile And Be Happy. Don’t Think Too Much, Just Do What Makes You Happy. Happiness Is Enjoying The Little Things In Life.
