Rita Marie Kimball, 84, of Bristol

BRISTOL — Rita Marie Kimball, 84, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at Shard Villa Residential Care Home in Salisbury.
She was born on Feb. 21, 1937, in Monkton, the daughter of Edmund and Cecile (Rheaume) Menard. She married the love of her life, Robert Kimball, on July 2, 1955. They spent 49 happy years together.
Rita loved sitting on her porch in the sunshine watching people go by. Her family was most important to her. Any chance to cook a meal and have everyone there made her happiest. She worked for many years as a waitress at Main Street Diner/Snaps. She also spent many years volunteering as dispatcher for the Bristol Fire Department. On many a Tuesday night you could find her helping and playing bingo at St. Ambrose Church.
She is survived by her children, Stephen (Penney) of New Haven, Roberta Hier (Terry) of Weybridge, Marcel (Sheryl) of Bristol and daughter-in-law Lucille of Bristol; also, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, son Darwin and her five siblings.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 23, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol.
