Boys’ lacrosse stars picked

ADDISON COUNTY — Two Middlebury Union High School boys’ lacrosse players were named to the Division I All-State team, and two of their teammates joined them on the Metro Conference All-Star team.

Also, eight athletes from the Mount Abraham-Vergennes cooperative squad and two from Otter Valley received either First or Second Team Division III recognition.

Named to the Division I All-State First Team was Tiger goalie Jack Rizzo. MUHS defender Fynn Whitlock earned a spot on the D-I Second Team.

Both Rizzo and Whitlock were named to the Metro First Team.

Tiger midfielder Mason Kaufmann and defender Matthew Kiernan received Metro Second Team recognition.  

Eagles making the Division III All-State First Team were attacker Henry Anderson, defenders Quincy Cook and Carmelo Miceli, long-stick middie Jade Edwards, and midfielder Griffin Paradee.

Otters earning spots on the D-III Second Team were attacker Hayden Bernhardt and midfielder David Williams. 

Eagles joining them on the D-III Second Team were attackers Iain Olsen and Liam Oxford and faceoff specialist Taylor Stearns.
