Lincoln news for Jul. 1
LINCOLN — The Lincoln Historical Museum will open for visitors for the 2021 season on Sunday, July 11. The museum will be open the 2nd and 4th Sundays through to October, from noon to 4 p.m. You can also get your copies of the Lincoln Center Historical Walks as at the General Store or the Lincoln Library.
If you happen to be in Montpelier stop in to see the State Historical display “Lively and Local,” which includes information from Lincoln Historic and other local historical societies.
Lincoln Sports is resurfacing the tennis court and they need your help. The court will officially be closed for a week or so. Please do not use the court until further notice. After the work is done and the court is reopened, a friendly reminder to everyone that the court is for tennis and pickleball only. Although it’s a tempting smooth surface, this is not the place for riding bikes, skateboards or other high-impact activities that will damage the surface. Thank you.
FROM TINA SCHARF: Kudos to all the folks who removed poison parsnip on Saturday. Thanks to all who pulled in the weeks leading up to Saturday as well. Due to all of the hard work, we have reached a milestone: every road in Lincoln is accounted for! Truly fantastic. Thanks to Vaneasa and team for the terrific lunch! It was the centerpiece for a truly celebratory event.
Until next time…Have A Safe And Happy July 4th Weekend!
