BRANDON — Luise Kempel, daughter of Helmut and Julianne (Christ) Kempel, was born in Newark, N.J. on Dec. 7, 1942, and died on Nov. 9, 2020, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vt., in the presence of friends.
Luise is survived by her beloved poodles, Harry and Heddi; her brother, Karl Kempel, and his children Joshua and Marin. Luise was a teacher, skier and swimmer, well-traveled, an avid reader and passionate about the color purple, a collector of giraffes and a beloved volunteer at Stephen A. Douglas museum and other organizations. Honoring her wishes, there will be no public services.
