NELLIE MAY HUMISTON

FERRISBURGH — Nellie May Humiston, 73, of Ferrisburgh passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, with her family by her side.
She was born Feb. 25, 1947, in Burlington the daughter of Raymond and Maud Wrisley Porcheron Sr.
Nellie loved hunting, fishing, feeding the birds and spending time with loved ones. She was a practical joker, always playing jokes on people especially children. She was known for driving around town with a masked Dummy in the passenger seat. She was employed at Basin Harbor for 21 years and worked numerous jobs in the area.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald Humiston, and sisters Jane Porcheron and Edna Ball.
Nellie is survived by her sister Joan Humiston; brothers Raymond Porcheron Jr. and his wife Amy Wisell of Ferrisburgh, and Charles Porcheron and his wife Lorraine Prince of North Carolina; and her cat Snowball.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Vergennes.
