Lincoln news for Sep. 10

LINCOLN — The library will be restarting their weekly toddler storytime outside on Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. with a few precautions. Please bring your own blanket to sit on, your own lightweight scarf or textile square for the scarf songs and your own snack and drink. Email [email protected] for more information.
Breathing and Listening with the Natural World, a new afternoon activity geared toward students in grades 5 through 8, will begin outside on the library grounds starting Friday, Sept. 11, from 3-5 p.m. This event, led by Kristin Andrews, will include discussion, craft and activity thematically motivated by present world challenges and inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book “Braiding Sweetgrass; Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants.” Email the library for more information or if you would like to sign up.
The library will be opening on Saturdays again starting Sept. 12 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The library is open for browsing with COVID-19 measures in place, the computers are available by appointment only and as always, they continue to offer free wifi outside, as well as curbside book pick up for those who would prefer to stay outside of the building.
