Bruce E. Morgan, 74, Salisbury native

FLORIDA — Bruce Eric Morgan passed away unexpectedly at his home in Florida on Aug. 4, 2020, the day after his 74th birthday. He grew up in Salisbury, the son of the late Donald and Charlotte Morgan.
After graduating from MUHS in 1965, Bruce enlisted in the U.S. Navy and spent most of his time during the Vietnam War as a radar technician in the Mediterranean. He was honorably discharged in 1969. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7823.
Following his military discharge, Bruce worked in many trades and industries: concrete and construction, driving school buses, forestry, farming, and restaurants, among other endeavors. He moved to Florida in the late 1990s and managed a campground for several years. Upon retirement, he spent his time fishing, gardening, and supplying his neighbors with fresh vegetables each season. 
He leaves behind his sister Kathleen Painter; her children Brooke Smith, Erik Lackey, William (Chip) Lackey; eight great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces, as well as several cousins.◊
