LINCOLN — The MAUSD Expanded Learning Program Summer Adventure Camp presents “BOTS!” a new children’s musical starring the ELP Summer Musical Theater Group on Friday, Aug. 7 at 8:30 p.m. This drive-in theater event will be held in the MAUHS parking lot. Rain date is Thursday, Aug. 6. Come celebrate these amazingly talented kids.
FROM PAUL FORLENZA, CHAIR, LDC
The Lincoln Democratic Committee will meet via Zoom to nominate candidates for Justice of the Peace on Monday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. Some duties of a JP include helping conduct elections, hearing taxpayer appeals and performing marriages. JPs are members of the Board of Civil Authority.
During the general election on Nov. 3, Lincoln voters will elect seven Justices of the Peace. However, to get on the Democratic ballot you must submit your name to Paul no later than Aug. 3 and join the Zoom meeting on that date. Current JPs who have already contacted him do not need to do so again. However, you should participate in the zoom meeting on Aug. 3. Contact Paul if you need more information.
REMINDER
Absentee ballots are available for the Aug. 11 primary and the Nov. 3 election. The easiest way to request an absentee ballot is online at sos.vermont.gov/elections/voters/early-absentee-voting/, or send back the postcard you received in the mail a few weeks ago.
