BRISTOL — George J. Menard, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Barre Gardens in Barre, Vt.
He was born Nov. 25, 1931, in New Haven, the son of Edmond and Cecile (Rheaume) Menard.
He loved fishing, building bird houses and woodworking after retiring from many years of driving truck for Drake Smith & Co. and William Holdman.
He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia Menard, two brothers, two sisters and a daughter.
George is survived by four children; Michael Menard, Arnold Menard, Bernadette Menard and Lisa Menard; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Kimball; numerous nieces and nephews; a son-in-law, Kevin Steadman; and two stepchildren, Henry Babcock and Laura Barrows.
