MIDDLEBURY — Dumont Rush, Middlebury College Class of 1943, died Jan. 15, 2020, of pneumonia. He is survived by his wife Peggy; daughters Lauren, Susan and Pamela of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter Karen and son Michael of Texas; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A nuclear engineer, Dumont’s last business card declared him a Tinker. A good neighbor, generous friend, pilot and sailor, family says he now sails a wider ocean. His strong body was accepted by the University of Vermont Anatomical Gift Program, 802-656-4605.
