Agnes Guillow Novak, 99, of Bristol

AGNES GUILLOW NOVAK

BRISTOL —  Agnes Guillow Novak passed away on Jan. 18, 2020, in Bristol. She was 99.
Agnes was born May 31, 1920, in Unity, N.H., to Doris Walker Guillow and James Rogers Guillow. She attended schools in Proctor, Middlebury and Castleton College. During WWII Agnes worked at the Springfield Armory in Springfield, Mass., making parts for M1 rifles, as well as anti-aircraft guns at Watervliet Arsenal in Watervliet, N.Y. She was employed for many years at Van Raalte in Middlebury and retired from B.F. Goodrich in Vergennes.
In her retirement Agnes made many quilted and sewn items including baby blankets, hats and wheelchair bags, which she distributed to organizations throughout Addison County.
Agnes is survived by her son, Grant Novak, his wife Martha Correll, grandson Kienan Novak and his fiancée Amanda Holt, nephew James Walker, his daughter Judi, son William and their families. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph Guillow of Alhambra, Calif., and sister Margaret (Midge) Cooke of Bridport.

A graveside service will be held in the spring a Grandview Cemetery in Addison. ◊
