NEW HAVEN — On Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, Burt Allen passed away. He was born July 9, 1944, son of Helen (Drinkwater) Allen and Russell Allen.
In early years he farmed on the family farm, Allenwood Inc., in New Haven. After farming he started New Haven Tire, which he owned for many years.
Burt is survived by his two sons; Neil Allen and wife Jennifer of New Haven and Mark and wife Kendra of Ferrisburgh; two sisters, Nancy Ruback of Orange, Ala., and Jane Shortsleeve and husband George of New Haven; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
