Lincoln news for Jan. 2
LINCOLN — Happy 2020 to all! Here is some town meeting news from Sally Ober, Lincoln Town Clerk: If you intend to circulate a petition to get something on the agenda for our town meeting on Monday, March 2, now is the time to get to work. Agenda petitions require signatures from at least 5% of Lincoln’s registered voters (56 signatures). Agenda item petitions need 56 signatures and are due by Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Blank agenda petitions are available on the town website or at the town office. Even if you are not done collecting signatures, it helps to let the Selectboard know that you are working on an agenda petition. This allows them to plan space for all the articles as they draft the warning for town meeting. If you have questions about petitions or any other process regarding town meeting, please email Sally at [email protected], call 453-2980 or contact the VT Secretary of State’s Office.
Until next time … Cherish Yesterday. Dream Tomorrow. Live Today.
