LINCOLN — Join LCS fifth- and sixth-graders for lunch and a book discussion of the graphic novel, “March” on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Burnham Hall. “March” is a 2019 Vermont Reads book. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. followed by a book discussion ending at 1 p.m.  Readers can get a copy of the book from the Lincoln Library, the United Church of Lincoln and the LCS Library. To reserve your spot, email [email protected] or call 453-2119. Thanks to the Vermont Humanities Council and Lincoln Ladies Aid Industria.
Under the direction of Jerry Shedd, the Middlebury Community Wind Ensemble offers two free concerts on Friday, Dec. 6, in the Mt. Abraham Union High School auditorium and Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the Middlebury Union High School auditorium. Both performances start at 7:00 p.m. and include music by Stravinsky, Shedd, William Schuman and a 50th anniversary celebration. A few members of our community are a part of this ensemble, so we hope to see you there.
FROM LCS ELP COORDINATOR
As we haul out our winter gear from last year and assess whether new gear is in order, consider donating any boots, snow pants, gloves, coats and warm layers to the Expanded Learning Program at LCS. We delight in taking kids outside every day, no matter the weather. We have a bin of spare cold-weather clothing started, with lots of room in it. Thank you for keeping us in mind.
REMINDERS
There will be no school for MAUSD Monday, Nov. 25 through Friday, Nov. 29. Holiday hours for the library include: Wednesday, Nov. 27, open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; closed Thursday, Nov. 28, for Thanksgiving; open Friday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 30, open from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
SAVE THE DATE
