Paul F. Sherwin, 86, of Bristol and Ormond Beach, Fla.

BRISTOL/ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — Paul Sherwin passed away on Sept. 3, 2019, in Ormond Beach. He was born May 22, 1933 the son of John and Alma (Farr) Sherwin.
Paul grew up on Lake Champlain, spending every summer at the family camp on Long Point, where his interest in motors started by working on motorboats of every kind. He then established Paul’s Esso in New Haven Junction. He continued his mechanical career at Kaolin in Monkton, working for the Webb Family in Shelburne, and the Town of Bristol. He retired in 1998 after working 32 years at Munson Earth Moving, and moved to the beach in Florida.
Paul and Polly enjoyed camping and traveling with their camper group.
He is survived by his children: Arnell (Dan) Paquette; Jeff (Claudia); Cindy Castle; David (Nicole); John (Stacey); Eric (Shawna); Tom (Julie) and Jeff Sawyer; and a very special cousin Sheila (David) Lathrop. His grandchildren: Ben Paquette; Amie Baker, Delaney, Spencer; Adam, Jillian; Nicholaus, Hannah, and Curtis Castle; John Hekkala, Paul, Roger; Brittanny Barrows, Emily; Bailey, Carley; Darrell, TJ, and Jordan Sawyer; and ten great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Patricia, his wife Evelyn “Polly”, and his son Scot.
Paul’s Vermont family would like to sincerely thank David and Nicole for the countless hours of care in his declining health.
There will be a graveside memorial at the Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m., with a gathering immediately following at The Hatch in Bristol.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society.◊
