ALBANY, N.Y. — Danny A. Strong, born in Shoreham, Vt. on Nov. 5, 1950, passed away at the VA Hospital in Albany, N.Y. on June 23, 2019
Danny served in Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne 2nd Battalion 17th Cavalry Delta troop as a paratrooper and scout. He served in Viet Nam from 1968-1970 and was a survivor of the battle for Hamburger Hill.
He was predeceased by both parents Robert C and Aureola (Howe) Strong. He leaves behind his Daughter Cristie Chilcote and Husband Frank of Essex, Vt., a brother Randy Strong and wife Pam of Shoreham, Vt., a sister Carol (Strong) Birkett of Winchester, Ky., and three nieces and a nephew, as well as two stepchildren, Shane Brunell and Morgan Brunell.
Interment will be at Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, Vt., on Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. ◊
