WEYBRIDGE — Marie J. Whealton, 83, of Weybridge, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Helen Porter Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.
Marie was born Aug. 12, 1935, and lived in Baltimore, Md., for most of her life. In 2004, after the passing of Warren, her husband of 46 years, Marie moved to Weybridge.
While in Baltimore Marie was very active and a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 148 in Essex, Md., and she worked the kitchen for every event. She loved to cook, bake and sew. While living in Weybridge, Marie was an avid participant at Project Independence and enjoyed her time there with her many friends, both participants and staff. She loved her family and her grandchildren brought her a special kind of joy.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Warren, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl and her husband, Bruce Paquin of Weybridge, who lovingly cared for her since her move to Weybridge. She is also survived by her son, Warren (Butch) Whealton, and his wife, Sandra of Thurmont, Md.; her daughter Valorie Monshower, of Conway, S.C.; her grandchildren Brady and Lauren Whealton, Alex Monshower, Tyler and Renee Harmon; and her five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Cannatello; her brother Al Bloch and his wife Ann, and her sister-in-law Ida Hylton; along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
