Beverly “Bev” J. (Abair) Norton, 74, of Vergennes

VERGENNES — Beverly “Bev” J. (Abair) Norton, 74, of Vergennes, passed away at UVM Medical Center on July 29, 2019, following a brief illness.
Bev was born in Middlebury, Vt., to Beatrice (Lebeau) and Albert Abair. She had one older sibling Marguerite “Maggie”. Bev was a graduate of the VUHS Class of 1962. She married Roger A. Norton on March 16, 1963, with whom she recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and she enjoyed monthly luncheons with her cousins. Bev dearly loved her family and greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bev leaves behind her husband Roger, her sons Roger II (Pam) and Kevin (Karen). She also leaves her grandchildren Kara (Bill Mitchell), Matthew, Jeremy (Becky) Dowdy and Tim Dowdy; her great-granddaughters Logan Larocque and Harper Mitchell; and her cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Beatrice and Albert and her sister Maggie Quinn.
Per Bev’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m., at Prospect Cemetery, with a reception following at American Legion Post 14, 100 Armory Lane, Vergennes.◊
