Sylas Anthony Malek Williams, 5, of Bristol

PHILLIP EVERETT WILLIAMS

BRISTOL — With great sorrow we announce the passing of Sylas Anthony Malek Williams (Thompson), age 5, on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at home with his family by his side after a long battle with his health.
Sylas was born on May 8, 2014 in Burlington, Vt. Sylas went by many nicknames: Sy, Monkey, and bug. Sy enjoyed the simple things in life; he loved to play with his toys especially his singing bunny rabbit. He loved it so much he had a spare just incase. He could cuddle and listen to your stories all day if you let him. He was a fan of the Blues and Classic Rock; he would sit in his room for hours with grandpa’s headphones on smiling and singing along. Some other favorite things of his were Christmas, Superman, lollipops, his stuffed animals, and his doggies.
He will forever be a prankster, he liked to cause mischief as much as possible and would keep his nurses on their toes. He was loved by everyone and had the cutest laugh; he hated to see his mommy sad so he would distract her with a giggle and a hug to cheer her up. He had a way of doing things his own way or no way at all but he was a warrior at heart and gave everything the best he had.
Sy leaves behind his mother Megan Thompson; step-father Edward Ennenga; his maternal grandparents Ricky and Debbra Thompson; his father Timothy J Williams; his paternal grandmother Roxanne Williams; his aunt and uncle Kristie and Jamie Goulding; his aunts Heather and Katie Laframboise; his unofficial aunties Sammie, Taylor, Katrina and Brianna; plus many more aunts, uncles, cousins, a step grandpa and friends that will miss him dearly.
The family would like to thank Rainbow Pediatrics of Middlebury, the University of Vermont’s Medical Center’s Pediatric Pulmonary, Neurology, and the Pediatric ICU and St. Margaret’s Center and Ronald McDonald house in Albany N.Y. Our greatest thanks for the support of Sylas’s nurses from Addison County Home Health and Hospice such as Rosemary Payne, Robert Giffen, Eva Mcdonough, Elizabeth Angier, Valerie Ortiz and former employees Diane Cushman and Chelsea Hescock. We couldn’t have made it this long without you.
Church Service will be held at the Victory Baptist Ministries in Vergennes, Vt., on Aug. 2, at 11 a.m. We are welcoming everyone to come celebrate Sylas’s life with us. Donations to his mother Megan or Addison County Home Health and Hospice in Sylas’s name are greatly appreciated.◊
