Fire on Court St. results in Middlebury traffic issue
MIDDLEBURY — An early-morning house fire on Court Street in Middlebury near Middlebury Union High School on Monday apparently did not result in any injuries, but likely will result in big traffic problems.
Police closed Court Street between Monroe Street and Court Street at around 3:45 a.m. while firefighters doused the blaze at 74 Court St. WCAX-TV reported that two other houses were also involved in the fire.
At 6:30 a.m., police opened Court Street to one lane of traffic. Vermont State Police urged drivers to use caution in the area this morning.
“Motorists should expect delays in the area,” VSP Trooper Ryan Brown said in a press release.
