Lincoln news for May 9
LINCOLN — A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make Green Up Day a success, I couldn’t have done it without all of you! Also, thanks to: Dan Ober and the LVFD crew for use of the fire house, Billie Mikkelsen for overseeing the trash collection, Eric Mikkelsen for all things food, Wendy McIntosh at the Library and Vaneasa Stearns at the Lincoln General Store for having green up bags on-hand, Cubbers, the Bobcat Cafe, the Lincoln General Store, Nancy Stevens and Kory Anderson/Aqua ViTea for donating to our raffle, Libby Otey for calling out numbers, Betty Brown for use of the canning jars, Jake Peirce for letting us in, Nate Perry & Matthew Brown for help with setup, Ivar Mikkelsen, Lizzie Mikkelsen and Jake Orvis for help tearing down, the town crew for having the trucks ready for us, Kerry and the preschoolers for making beautiful posters again this year and to LCS for letting me send home flyers with the students.
On Wednesday, May 15, there will be a children’s after school craft from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. at the library. Crafters will be making tissue paper flowers. Make a bouquet to brighten up your home. These are easy, fun, and add festive cheer to any occasion. A light snack will be provided.
Cribbage is now being played on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Bring your own board, come alone or with a partner, and have some fun playing cribbage.
REMINDER: The Revenants will be playing on Saturday, May 11, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Burnham Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults, teens and kids are free.
