Letter to the editor: Quakers oppose those who divide

The Middlebury Friends Meeting (Quakers) is deeply concerned about the massacre of worshippers at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. We recognize that this tragedy affects not only the immediate victims in New Zealand, but also Muslims around the world. We cannot take away this loss. What we can do is affirm our unwavering support and vow to speak up whenever we hear someone trying to divide us. We are one people, we all need one another, and we will choose love, not hate, as a way forward.
