Letter to the editor: Lorraine Morse a good choice for ACSD board

Middlebury residents are incredibly fortunate to have Lorraine Morse as one of their choices for Addison Central School District Board.
Lorraine Morse has demonstrated a very strong sense of responsibility to our community with 20+ years of experience volunteering in our community; and 18 consecutive years specifically on the school boards from: Mary Hogan, UD3, Hannaford Career Center, Addison Central Supervisory Union Board, ACSD; not to mention all of the subcommittees and other added responsibilities.
In addition, Lorraine has volunteered with Everybody Wins as a reading mentor and is now Chair of the Midd Summer Lunch & Recreation Program, with a mission of ensuring local children are fed and active during the summer months.
Lorraine is a graduate of our Middlebury public schools and both of her children also attended and graduated from our Middlebury public schools. She is one of the few board members with deep Vermont roots and brings an important perspective to the leadership of our schools.
Lorraine Morse is civically minded, truly dedicated, and has a nearly unmatched depth of experience.  She’s committed to involving parents and children in the decisions that the Board faces. She is organized and a practical thinker who follows through on commitments.
I hope that you will join me and vote for Lorraine Morse this coming Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Middlebury Town Offices, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Angela Cobrin Landis, Middlebury
