Helicopter landing areas pitched
CORNWALL — The Vermont Transportation Board will conduct site visits and a hearing at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, relating to multiple applications by the Lemon Fair Insect Control District (LFICD) for proposed helicopter landing areas at two locations in Cornwall and one in Weybridge.
The specific locations are 380 Foote Farm Road in Cornwall, vacant property at the intersection of West Street and Route 125 in Cornwall, and at 2017 James Road in Weybridge.
Parties interested in attending the site visits should meet in the Weybridge Congregational Church fellowship hall at 2790 Weybridge Road in Weybridge at 9:30 a.m. An LFICD representative will escort the board and public to the proposed helicopter landing areas.
Immediately following the site visit — at or around 10:30 a.m. — the Transportation Board will hold a hearing on all three applications at the Fellowship Hall of the Weybridge Church. The board at that hearing will listen to the applicant, the Vermont Agency of Transportation and the public. For more information, contact John Zicconi at [email protected] or 802-828-2942.
The LFICDis a municipal district, supported by residents of Bridport, Weybridge and Cornwall, and was established in 2006 to reduce the local mosquito population during the spring and summer. The district commissions occasional larvacide drops to fulfill its mission.
