Eagle girls’ basketball downs Mill River easily

NORTH CLARENDON — The Mount Abraham Union High School girls’ basketball team breezed past host Mill River on Friday, 45-25.
Jalen Cook paced the Eagles with 17 points as they improved to 8-2. MRU dropped to 2-12.
The win kept Mount Abe in at least the No. 2 spot in the Division II standings, per the Vermont Principals’ Association website.
The Eagles will host D-I Lake Division rival Mount Mansfield (5-4) on Tuesday night.
