Salisbury news for Nov. 1

SALISBURY — Thursday, Nov. 1, is All Saints Day at St Mary’s church in Middlebury and during the 6 p.m. Mass prayers will be offered for Martha Sullivan. Martha served Salisbury for many years as a selectboard member and chair and on many committees: her passing has left a large void in the community.
There will be a Hazardous Waste collection at the Salisbury landfill on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This collection is for Salisbury residents only. For more information call Pedie O’Brien at 352-4244.
The Salisbury Congregational church has some items left from the recent rummage sale and are offering them for free on Friday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. If you can not be there on Friday, call Nancy at 352-4375 to arrange a time to pick up items.
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, the polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Early voting and absentee ballots are available until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1. If you would like to help at the polls, call Sue at 352-4228. Workers are always needed.
