Dana and Susan Robinson will perform on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Ripton Community Coffee House. The Americana-roots and folk duo, from Cabot, combine vivid, songwriting and storytelling, with fiddle tunes, clawhammer banjo, elegant melodies and rich harmony singing.
“Many songwriters have been heralded as modern day Woody Guthries or keepers of the American rural spirit, but that mantle might be better entrusted to musicians like Dana and Susan Robinson who embody both the heart and soul of folk music,” according to Dirty Linen, a now defunct magazine of folk and world music.
Come see this couple live in action on Saturday night. As usual, open mic starts at 7:30 p.m. The Robinson will follow. Tickets are $10 general admission, $15 generous admission and $3 for kids under 12. Doors open at 7 p.m.
