Girls’ soccer: Otters only winner

ADDISON COUNTY — In local high school soccer action earlier this week the Otter Valley girls won, the Mount Abraham girls earned a home tie, while the Eagle and Otter boys came up short on the road.
The Vergennes boys visited Middlebury on Tuesday.
The Commodore and Tiger girls were scheduled to host games on Wednesday after the deadline for this edition.
OV GIRLS
The Otter girls won at Bellows Falls on Tuesday, 3-0, as high-scoring midfielder Olivia White recorded a first-half hat trick before leaving with what Coach John White described as an ankle bruise. Lauren Konarski set up two of the goals, and Mary Kingsley assisted the third.
The Otters improved to 5-6 with their fourth win in five outings.
EAGLE GIRLS
On Monday the Mount Abe girls battled visiting Rice (6-1-3) to a 1-1 tie. The Eagle girls took the lead on Addy Harris’s first-half strike, but Rice’s Alex Dostie knotted the score late in the second half.  Goalie Justice Green made seven saves for the 3-5-2 Eagles, and two Rice goalies totaled five stops.
The Eagles were set to visit Missisquoi on Wednesday.
EAGLE BOYS
On Tuesday host Milton blanked the Eagle boys, 3-0. Caden Button and Nick Desouza led Milton (5-4-2) with a goal and an assist apiece, and two goalies combined for five stops. Goalie Ethan DeWitt made eight saves for the 3-6-2 Eagles.
OV BOYS
On Tuesday host Woodstock edged the Otter boys, 3-2. Details were unavailable before deadline. OV dropped to 3-6-1.
