Shoreham Historical Society to meet Oct. 3

SHOREHAM — The Shoreham Historical Society will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Platt Memorial Library at 7 p.m. The speakers will be three members of the Green Mountain Boys Project, who are responsible for the clean up that has been done in the Callendar Cemetery.
They are a group of historians who are attempting to do biographies on all of the original Green Mountain Boys. They plan to prepare a report for each town that the Boys hailed from including information on the men, where they lived, where they are buried, etc.
The October talk will be about
the men who came from Shoreham. They will also present their findings in written form to the Historical Society. There will be a brief business meeting as well as light refreshments served. The public is invited the public to join this interesting evening.
