Workforce summit set at Basin Harbor on Sept. 12
FERRISBURGH — The Addison County Workforce Development Task Force is hosting an Addison County Workforce Development Stakeholders Summit on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 3:45 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Basin Harbor Resort, 4800 Basin Harbor Road in Ferrisburgh.
The event will include dinner, a presentation on Addison County workforce data, discussions focused on coordinating workforce development efforts and identifying local priorities for training and education investments. This Summit will convene workforce development stakeholders including employers, industry groups, business organizations, secondary and post-secondary career and technical education providers, private and public training providers, secondary education leaders and guidance counselors, higher education representatives, economic development practitioners, municipal officials, and regional elected officials.
There is no cost to attend; however space is limited. The registration deadline is Wednesday Sept. 5. Stakeholders who are unable to attend are asked to please forward this info to an appropriate colleague in their organization who can participate.
Participants are being asked to complete a regional workforce development survey beforehand using this survey link: surveymonkey. com/r/LHRZH99. Interested stakeholders are asked to complete this survey even if they are unable to attend the Summit.
