Lincoln news for August 9

LINCOLN — It’s almost back to school time. Are you ready? We’re trying to squeeze in some last minute fun during these last few weeks, but we know that it’s right around the corner. I hope you’ve had a chance to do some fun things this summer. We got our jump on at Get Air, hit the lanes at the bowling alley and played a round of mini-golf, spent time with friends and family, played outside and enjoyed the comforts of air conditioning during this very hot summer.
Now it’s time to start getting back into our daily school time routines. School supplies. Check. Backpack. Check. Back to bedtime and daily routine. Well … we still have time to work on that. Welcome to all the new teachers/staff, students and kindergartners. Best wishes to everyone for a wonderful school year at LCS.
REMINDERS: The next election in Lincoln will be on Tuesday, Aug. 14, for the state primary. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the town office. Early/Absentee ballots are now available. Call 802-453-2980 to submit a request as soon as possible.
The annual meeting of the Lincoln Historical Society will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at the town office.
Until next time … Never Let A Stumble In The Road Be The End Of The Journey. Surround Yourself With Good People. Live The Life You’ve Imagined.
