Drug investigation draws police cars to Middlebury address
MIDDLEBURY — Multiple Vermont State Police vehicles converged upon a Court Street home on Friday, July 6, in what VSP Lt. Jeff Donaski described as an “investigation into possible drug activity.”
Three separate witnesses told the Independent they saw at least three state police cruisers and possibly two more police cars parked in a residential driveway a few properties north of the intersection of Charles Street and Route 7.
Authorities are currently not giving any details about the specific address nor are they identifying any suspects who might be under investigation.
An earlier report said Middlebury police were involved, but Middlebury Police Chief Tom Hanley said his department was not involved in the operation.
