Tiger skaters set for all-star game

BURLINGTON — Four members of the Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team are set to take the ice for Vermont against New Hampshire on Saturday, June 30, in the annual Make-A-Wish All-Star Twin State Hockey Classic. The girls’ and boys’ games will be played in Gutterson Fieldhouse at the University of Vermont.
Tiger senior forwards Helen Anderson and Andi Boe and defenders Abby Gleason and Satchel McLaughlin will all skate for a Vermont team that will be coached by MUHS Coach Matt Brush.
The girls’ game is set to begin at 4 p.m., with the boys following at 6:30 p.m. The event is now in its 26th year for the boys and the 21st year for the girls.
Tickets are available at the door and cost $10 for adults and $5 for students. Admission is free for children ages 6 and under.
The Granite State is coming off a 7-5 victory in the girls’ game a year ago, narrowing Vermont’s all-time lead in the series to 9-8-3. The Green Mountain State pulled out a 3-2 win in the boys’ game; New Hampshire leads that series, 16-8-1.
