Many high school baseball players named all-stars

ADDISON COUNTY — Sixteen members of the Otter Valley, Middlebury, Mount Abraham and Vergennes union high school baseball teams earned postseason recognition from the Lake Division or the Marble Valley League B Division.
Eagle senior Dustin Whitcomb was named the Lake Division Player of the year, while MUHS Coach Charlie Messenger, whose team tied for the Lake title and won 11 games a year after winning just once, was named the league’s coach of the year.
Two Tigers, junior Wyatt Cameron and senior Brian Foote were named Lake first-team all-stars, as was Eagle senior Jared Forand.
Three Otters were named MVL B Division all-stars, senior Payson Williams and junior Josh Beayon and Reilly Shannon. OV junior Patrick McKeighan was named to the second team.
From MUHS senior Skyeler Devlin, sophomore Hale Hescock and junior Aaron Larocque made the Lake second team, as did Commodore senior Casey Kimball and sophomores Ethan Bissonette and Jeff Stearns.
Earning Lake honorable mention were two juniors, Tiger Jordy Stearns and Eagle Parker Hines.
