Over Memorial Day Weekend, the Middlebury Union High School Scholar’s Bowl team enjoyed a trip to Atlanta for the High School National Championship Tournament. In a 47-story hotel full of the best quiz bowl players in the nation, we placed 235th out of 352 teams and had a whole lot of fun doing it!
We would like to give thanks for all of the support we received to make the trip possible: Mr. Lawson, Mr. Farrell, and the teachers union for encouraging us to go and financially supporting us; Mrs. Severy and the MUHS Jazz Band for helping us raise funds; the Addison Independent for advertising that fundraiser and community members for showing up; our parents for transporting and generally supporting us; and most of all, our coach, Mr. Lessing, for fostering our love of trivia and being the best chaperone ever.
