Tiger girls’ lax rolls over Burlington
BURLINGTON — The Middlebury Union High School girls’ lacrosse team remained undefeated and on top of the Division I standings with a 12-2 win at Burlington this past Wednesday.
At 4-0 the defending champion Tigers are the only unbeaten team in D-I; they have not lost since the 2016 season. Mount Anthony, Champlain Valley Union and Brattleboro entered weekend play with one loss apiece.
The Tigers’ Friday game at Mount Mansfield was postponed.
Vs. Burlington six Tigers found the net, led by three goals apiece from Emily Laframboise and Lacey Greenamyre. Ada Anderson and Satchel McLaughlin each scored twice, and Isabel Rosenberg and Ella Nagy-Benson added a goal apiece. Goalie Raven Payne backstopped the win with five saves. Kyla Muzzy picked up both goals for the 1-4 Seahorses, and goalie Koleigh Vachereau made 14 saves.
