Leicester news for April 30

LEICESTER — Green Up Day is almost here. Bags and gloves are available at the Leicester Town Office. A free lunch of hot dogs, chips, brownies and soda, for Green Up volunteers will be offered at the Four Corners on Saturday, May 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Filled bags may be brought to the town shed that morning, pick up your free lunch ticket that doubles as a raffle ticket.
Leicester Historical Society will be sponsoring Prize Bingo on Saturday, May 19, at 1 p.m. at the Senior Center. This is a week later than usual due to Mother’s Day the previous weekend. Refreshments will be served; all are welcome.
The Leicester selectboard is still seeking someone to conduct the dog census. It should take no more than eight hours. For more information contact Town Clerk Julie Delphia at 247-5961.
