Tiger girls help hockey all-star team post victory

ESSEX — Five Middlebury Union High School senior girls’ hockey team members played for the winning Austin squad in the annual Rotary Hockey Classic on Saturday in Essex. The game pits teams of Vermont seniors against one another to benefit charity.
Tiger senior defender Abby Gleason was named the MVP for the Austin team, which got an overtime goal from Northfield’s Brianna Doty to defeat the Harris team, 3-2.
Also scoring for the Austin team were South Burlington’s Claire Wright and Rutland’s Meghan Hamilton. 
Joining Gleason on the winning side were her senior Tiger teammates Helen Anderson, Tully Hescock, Satchel McLaughlin and Raven Payne.
