Festival on-the-Green wants ideas for T-shirt

MIDDLEBURY — Festival on-the-Green is celebrating a very special milestone this year — it’s 40th season. In honor of the occasion, the organizers invite community members to submit a t-shirt design to their contest to select the official 2018 shirt.
Here are some guidelines for those who wish to submit a design. All designs:
•  Will be screen printed on a Comfort Color brand t-shirt on the color Maize (#468C), which is a pale yellow-ish beige. A color swatch of this color can be seen on dyehouse.com/us/colors/direct. Youth color shirts are slightly different, but still a pale yellow-ish color.
•  Can include no more than three ink colors of your choice.
•  Should be designed for the front of a plain crew-neck t-shirt with short sleeves.
•  Must include either “40th Annual” or “40th Year” or “Cheers to 40 Years” in some prominent way. (Please: No reference to alcohol, as this is an alcohol-free, family event.)
•  Must include the dates “July 8-14, 2018” and “Middlebury, VT.”
Designs that work best include bold fonts, strong lines, music festival theme, and sized to fit between shoulder level and waist of average-sized adult. The Screen printer will resize design for XXL adult and for youth sizes.
The design should be submitted as a high-resolution pdf and emailed to [email protected] by April 30, 2018. The festival board will review all submissions and select four finalist designs. The four finalists will then be presented to the community for an online vote and final decision. The winning design will be printed and available for sale at the Festival on-the-Green, and the winning designer will receive two shirts in any available size.
For more information, ideas, or photos, and to view full contest details, please go to the Festival website at festivalonthegreen.org. Questions can be directed to Donna Brewer at [email protected].
