Mount Abe girls’ hoop final postponed due to weather
BARRE — The Mount Abraham Union High School girls’ basketball team’s championship game in Barre was postponed from Tuesday night until Friday night due to the midweek snowstorm.
The 19-4 Eagles, seeded No. 2, will meet No. 1 Fair Haven (20-3) on Friday at 8:15 p.m. in the Barre Civic Auditorium.
The game is a rematch of one the Eagles won at Fair Haven, 33-29, on Dec. 28.
The Slaters are playing without injured standout Halle Coloutti, who was injured in the team’s regular-season finale at Otter Valley. She has been replaced by her freshman sister, Ryleigh Coloutti, in the starting lineup.
