Lincoln New for March 8

LINCOLN — The Starline Rhythm Boys will be celebrating their 20th anniversary at Burnham Hall, on Saturday, March 10, as part of the Burnham Music Series. The Starline Rhythm Boys perform vintage country, honky-tonk and rockabilly music along with very powerful country harmony duet vocals. Their repertoire consists of many superb originals, as well as great covers of both classic and obscure numbers. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, teens and kids are free. Refreshments will be served.
The Lincoln Library will be offering an afternoon of history sharing on Wednesday, March 14, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Join us as we continue our conversation about the history of this mountain town. Beverly Brown will share stories from the Purinton family that settled in Lincoln in 1803. Please bring your own family stories and pictures as well. Refreshments will be served.
As a celebration of women’s history month, the Bridges Group is showing the movie “A Powerful Noise” at the Lincoln Library on Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m. This movie follows three women in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mali and Vietnam as they lead everyday battles against ignorance, poverty, aggression and ethnic strife.
Pet owners, mark your calendars for the Lincoln Rabies Clinic, to be held at the Town Office on Saturday, March 17, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Vaccinations for cats or dogs cost $15 each. Bring proof of prior vaccinations to obtain the full term of coverage allowed by the veterinarian. Please keep pets in your vehicle until the veterinarian is ready to give the vaccination. Be sure to bring cats in secure carriers.
You may register dogs during the clinic, as well. All dog licenses expire on April 1.
REMINDER: No school this Friday, March 9, for parent/teacher conferences.
