SALISBURY — Ballots for the Town Meeting Day election are now available for early or absentee voting. To vote early, stop in to the town office during office hours and request a ballot. The last day to vote early is Thursday, March 1, as the office will not be op again until the day of the election, Tuesday, March 6. To vote by absentee ballot you may stop by the office or call to have one mailed to you. You can request to vote by absentee ballot in a single election or all elections in a calendar year. You must request to vote by absentee ballot annually. You may also request your ballot through “My Voter Page” by going to https://mvp.sec.state.vt.us.
While you may register to vote on Election Day the town clerk would appreciate your registering early to keep the polls running smoothly. To find out if you are registered to vote look the current check list posted at the Salisbury Post Office bulletin board or call the town office at 352-4228.
The Salisbury Town Report is now available online. Look under the “Documents” tab at www.townofSalisbury.org.
Salisbury Town Meeting is Saturday, March 3, at the community school. The meeting starts promptly at 3 p.m., citizens are encouraged to come at 2:30 p.m. to view displays and raffle items. Following the meeting there will be a pot luck supper; bring your favorite dish to share. Voting by ballot will take place on Town Meeting Day, Tuesday March 6, 8 a.m.-7 p.m., at the town office.
This is vacation week for ACSU students. Last week the students participated in the Walk to School Day. Students were dropped off at either end of Kelly Cross Road where they were met by teachers and staff to walk to the school.
The school has joined a program called EarlyAct in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Middlebury. This action club, which includes everyone at the school, is charged with creating three projects that make a difference in the school, the community and the world.
