Hill Country Holiday is arriving in Lincoln

LINCOLN — Hill Country Holiday weekend is here. This year’s theme is the Winter Olympics. Here is a recap of the weekend’s events:
Friday, Feb. 2
Snow Sculpture Contest at your house or at the Lincoln Sports field. Call Sandy at 349-7294 no later than 5 p.m. on Friday for judging.  Winner receives a free breakfast for two on Sunday morning.
Cool Runnings will be shown as part of Community Movie Night at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Military Whist starts at 6:45 p.m. at Burnham Hall. Cost $1 per player. Crowning of the King & Queen will take place during Whist.
Saturday, Feb. 3
Parade line up is 11:15 a.m. at the old pallet mill. The parade starts at 11:30 a.m. followed by the library’s soup and bread lunch at Burnham Hall from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The preschool’s meatball competition heats up at 3:30 p.m. at the Hall followed by an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for kids. The annual Lincoln Variety Show is 7 p.m. at Burnham Hall. Sign up by calling Todd Goodyear at 349-0498. Best individual or group wins $25.
Sunday, Feb. 4
Lincoln Sports Pancake Breakfast from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at Burnham Hall. Single $4, double stack for $6 and all you can eat for $8. Lego Building activity 1-5 p.m. at Burnham Hall.
 
BOX TOPS NEEDED
The Lincoln Community School participates in the Box Tops for Education program. All money raised goes toward the purchase of books for the school library. Collecting box tops is a fun and easy way to earn money for LCS. Find box tops on hundreds of participating products, cut them out
