Bixby offers writing workshop by ‘Good Naked’ author

VERGENNES — Anyone who has ever tried knows that writing can be a challenge. Enter the Bixby Library.
Author Joni B. Cole will be at the Bixby to lead a workshop on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. In “Good Naked: Wit, Wisdom and a Writing Workshop,” Cole, a seasoned writing instructor and author of the new book “Good Naked: Reflections on How to Write More, Write Better, and Be Happier” (included in Poets & Writers list of “Best Books for Writers,”) will help writers celebrate the creative process in all its glory in a no-pressure setting.
As a part of the gathering participants will be invited to write from a “prompt” as a means of mining their own meaningful story material. Whether a writer, an artist, a wannabe, or an enthusiast for new experiences, this event offers participants a chance to uncover the creative potential within. Come, learn, have fun, and leave self doubt at the door.
Along with “Good Naked,” Cole is the author of “Toxic Feedback: Helping Writers Survive and Thrive” and the recently re-released “Another Bad-Dog Book: Essays on Life, Love, and Neurotic Human Behavior.” More information on Cole is available at jonibcole.com.
Those interested should register for the workshop by contacting Muir Haman at [email protected] or call 802-877-2211.
