Editorial: Ban the book, says ‘Liar King’

The irony was rich. There’s Trump, the king of liars, outraged that an author could publish a book filled with comments that depict the president as a dunce. Even worse. His own staff calls him “unfit to be president,” “a moron,” uninformed and semi-illiterate. Worse yet, author Michael Wolff, through hundreds of interviews and several months spent at the White House observing Trump’s behavior, depicts the president as a petulant child propped up by a staff and congressional supporters desperate to contain his gaffes.
Trump’s response? Sue the author and publisher for printing falsehoods. Imagine that! The man who tells a whopper on average of 6 times a day and who won the election by his slanderous take downs of opponents, tries to ban a book that he says spreads malicious information about him. Does he not see how ridiculous his threats are (like a petty dictator who would ban unflattering books), and how he makes the issue even bigger?
And, by the way, just who approved Wolff’s access to get this inside story? Trump did. Invited him right into the Oval Office to watch, probably thinking no one would dare dis the king. That’s just dumb and dumber.
