Tiger alumni hockey game set for Dec. 30

MIDDLEBURY — The 18th annual Middlebury Union High School alumni hockey games will be played on Saturday, Dec. 30, and the Friends of Middlebury Hockey group is inviting male and female players alike to participate in one of the three contests at the Memorial Sports Center.
The games will kick off with a women’s game from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m., followed by what organizers are calling a “slower game” from 7 to 8:45 p.m. and then by a “faster game” from 9 to 10:45 p.m.
Games will be two 30-minute stop-time periods apiece, with ice cleaning between periods. Players may choose which game they compete in, according to organizer Dan McIntosh.
The event sponsors are recommending a $25 donation per player, with no charge to spectators. Donations will be collected at the event, with checks payable to Friends of Middlebury Hockey.
Those interested may contact McIntosh at 802-388-3444 or [email protected].
